Awesome experience, will not forget 1st dive

CESA – Shane Rope

7th Macrophoto Trophee of Arcachon bay

An algae lovers dream dive. Lots of plant life on the boulders and a guide who was only interested in going deep and seemed surprised that I wanted to look in the nooks and crannies.

Dropped off Rib and finned north to 2 coral tables. Coral in fair condition although covered by sand from rough seas. Finned back to main reef. Lots of life on this reef. Lionfish hunting, big moray, green turtle

Rough Sea kicked up the sand. Quite murky for a Red Sea Dive! Nice Napoleon Wrass, Moray, and Blue Spotted Ray. More reef fish in shallows round headland.

South side of Coraya House Reef. Finning left shoulder on gradual sloping reef wall. Nice coral to sandy bottom. Wall steepens around headland inlet and more reef fish in shallows.

Second dive of day, north side. Coral not as good as first dive (south side). Nice scorpionfish and batfish. Dolphins around the dive site but not during dive

Nice Dive! Saw green turtle, lionfish, moray, coral ‘window’ full of glassfish, napoleon wrasse, spanish dancer eggs and a few spotted rays. Finned across bay and finished dive on south side by steps to dive centre.

Early morning dive. Sandy bottom with coral mounds and a big seagrass area. Looking for dungongs.. but none to be found!
