Open Water Diver – final qualifying dive!

Arrow crab, violet-coloured starfish, black sea urchin, cycloes cristata crab

First dive – part of PADI open-water course

was quite disappionted in this dive. a lot of dead crabs and starfish and fish, wasn’t a good sign. 2 days later the site was closed and under investigation of the cause of the marine deaths.

2 x Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus). ~1.5m in length. Depth 22m. Supposedly Mainit Point is within the Anilao protected area but local fishermen may be seen in small paddle bancas fishing.
