This was Malldives Clean up day – Dive schools throughout Maldives offered a free dive to clean up the dive sites – especially house reefs and those near to resorts and boat channels. Ciollected lots of bottles, cans, fishing line, clothes and general rubbish but left bottles where coral had started to grow. Saw several turtles and a large sting ray surprised us (about 6 inches below us) as we were collecting rubbish – good coral and a large yellow masked angel fish Nitrox 31%

Saw a ‘flying school’ of eagle rays, lots of moarays, 2 white tip reef sharks, one grey reef shark, turtles, lots of trigger fish and a unicorn fish

Wreck dive at night. Lots of sleeping parot fish, BIG star puffer, cleaner shrimp in one of the funnels, big grouper in the wheelhouse, lots of sting rays on the sand aroung the wreck. When we came out the sky was VERY starry and could see Southern Cross and Plough at the same time!!

School of tuna, beautiful coral, titan trigger fish, oriental sweetlips, blue spotted jaw fish, three spot angelfish

Fast drift dive – lots of lobsters and Ed the very friendly Moray who liked to swim into people’s BCDs. Lots of file fish, lots of Angel fish
